Florida Foreclosure Defense Lawyer

Are you facing foreclosure?

When facing a difficult financial situation, many families are unsure where to turn.  They may fear that their house or other valuable properties may be repossessed by a mortgage lender or a bank they owe money to.  In some cases, the sudden loss of a job or inability to work due to medical reasons could cause an individual to slip far into debt.  With overwhelming amounts of debt, it may be difficult to continue making payments on a current loan, which could upset your lender.  When a lender, such as a bank or other creditor does not receive adequate payments, he or she may use the legal action of foreclosure to attempt to collect collateral.

If this is happening to you or your family, it is extremely urgent that you consult with a seasoned Florida foreclosure defense attorney immediately.  Here at Carman Law Firm, P.A., the legal team has been assisting residents of Florida fight off foreclosure for nearly three decades.  They have built a reputation in the community for their ability to use creative defense tactics to help individuals and families save their homes.

In Florida, the foreclosure process generally takes anywhere from 2 to 3 months unless you choose to fight to keep your home or sell it yourself.  First, the borrower will go into default on his or her loan.  Following this, the lender will give the borrower a notice of default and request that the loan be paid and a lawsuit may be filed at the county courthouse.  Next, the individual in debt will be informed of the lawsuit and be given 20 days to respond.  If you respond within the 20 days, there will be a hearing in front of a judge in which the judge will either make a ruling in your favor or the favor of the lender.
